These notes include changes and updates going back to version 2.5.0.4.
Major Things
Improved Advanced Search
Improved the advanced search function to give better context-sensitive populating of the dropdowns. Each dropdown now filters its data based on whether or not an item type is selected, or does no filtering at all if the new checkbox “Streamline dropdown choices” is selected.
Find the advanced search tool on the main items list screen, here:
Check the “Streamline dropdown choices” to have the dropdowns only give options with possible results. If this is unchecked then the dropdowns will give all options.
Added Sorting Options
Added more sorting options to the main items list.
Completely Delete an Item
Created a process to completely delete an item, and all connections to dependent items, and child delete objects such as revisions, sources, notes, approvals, etc..
There are two places from where an item can be deleted. The first is the main items list. Select the item and then use the More Actions dropdown to find Delete Item.
The second place to delete an item is from within the item’s detail screen. Use the Actions dropdown to select Delete Item.
From there you can either delete the various dependent items or relationships piecemeal, or delete everything in one click.
New Inventory Workflow
Added new inventory transaction workflow to enter a new stock count. Use this for cycle counts / inventory stock-taking. With regular inventory transactions you would have to enter the quantity of the change — but with this transaction workflow you enter the final quantity (what you count on the shelf) and the process does the math to create a transaction for the difference.
Minor Things
• The inventory totals form now detects if your company is using inventory locations and configures itself appropriately.
• Fixed a bug with BOM snapshots occasionally not retrieving the correct older BOM.
